The Musicmen Cometh!
This is the marriage of two musical minds, Josh Bain and Nolan Ross. Friends since high school, they've seen the seven wonders of the world, jumped from helicopters, hang-glided, climbed Mt. Everest, and even offered jokes over dinner with Bono, Springsteen, Clapton, and others.
Okay, none of that is true except the friends since high school part. Nonetheless, these guys love music and love talking about it. We hope you enjoy it.
Ok Bear

Jeremy Enigk, one of the most prolific writers on the outside looking in, in terms of, the “record biz” has a new record coming out in 8 days. Of course I was excited to hear this, knowing that his first solo record, Return of the Frog Queen didn’t get a proper follow-up record until 2006’s World Waits record. So of course, I was wondering if the guy was going to follow the trend of ten years between the album, you know? But then I quickly remembered the slightly forgettable, The Missing Link record, which had five songs which were previously on World Waits, that came out not long after World Waits. You may already know all this, but I’ve gotta give some of the newbies some history on the guy’s solo career. Besides, I’d be here all day if I went into Sunny Day Real Estate and The Fire Theft!
Moving right along, the record, coming out on May 12 is called Ok Bear. This record boasts one of the best singles ever from Jeremy. This song is called, “Mind Idea.” What a hit! Just one of the songs you love right off. In the back of my mind, in listening to this record, I’m thinking, “this can’t be as good as World Waits was.” So, here I am going through each song and noticing that there are some definite winners here. However, those expecting World Waits 2 will be disappointed. This record is different. Not what I expected, but still, a fine record.
“April Storm” is an excellent song. Excellent. ”Life’s Too Short” could’ve followed “Damien Dreams” from World Waits. Vintage Jeremy on that one. ”In A Look” is a rad song. I mean, there isn’t a bad song on the album, it just takes a few listens to really enjoy it. Highly recommended for any Jeremy Enigk fan.
