The Musicmen Cometh!
This is the marriage of two musical minds, Josh Bain and Nolan Ross. Friends since high school, they've seen the seven wonders of the world, jumped from helicopters, hang-glided, climbed Mt. Everest, and even offered jokes over dinner with Bono, Springsteen, Clapton, and others.
Okay, none of that is true except the friends since high school part. Nonetheless, these guys love music and love talking about it. We hope you enjoy it.
Hot Air Balloon

Around September of last year, I discovered a neat little record called, Maybe I’m Dreaming, by Owl City, the moniker of Adam Young. Not surprisingly, I immediately thought of The Postal Service, Styrofoam, Dntel, and the emergence of a Texas group, PlayRadioPlay! I wrote it off at first. However, the more I listened to it, I was stuck on it. It’s really happy music. Which I’m okay with. I encourage it. I now love the album.
Yesterday, I noticed via Owl City’s twitter, that a new song could be downloaded if one were to sign up for the mailing list. Or, one could choose to purchase the song for 99¢ off ye olde Itunes. The song is entitled, “Hot Air Balloon” and it is extremely upbeat, peppy, and lovely. It’s not for everyone, which I don’t care - I like it and the electronica beats he’s manipulated are refreshing.
The album itself, “Ocean Eyes” comes out September 1st, which seems like a long way off, but at least I’ll have plenty of time to binge on “Hot Air Balloon.”
So, whether you want to pay 99¢ or want to join the mailing list, I highly recommend either!
